FTF--Saturday Soccer!

Fall soccer on Saturday has become a favorite for our family this year! This is Mason's second season to play soccer and he is really getting the hang of it. He's having lots of fun with his teammates and running around on the field.

A couple of weeks ago, Mason scored his first soccer goals. He scored 2 goals in that game! This last week he scored another goal and Donald got the picture of him getting ready to put it in the goal! We have been celebrating lots!

Go Spitfire!

Haden is a big fan of soccer too! He has his own little blue ball that he likes to throw and kick around while Mason is playing. He's a cute little soccer player.

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

This past Sunday we took a little family adventure to Elgin to visit the pumpkin patch. I asked Mason to help me write a little bit about the adventure...

Mason: "My favorite part at the petting zoo part was that I got to look at the llama and pet the horse. Close to the petting zoo was the maze. It was really fun because I got to go away from Mommy and Daddy. Daddy found a camoflouge praying mantis that we put on a tree and that was camoflouge to the tree. We also played with a water pump that was a ducky obstacle course race. I won!"

Mason: "I picked out a pumpkin that was medium. Then we paid for the pumpkin and I got to paint it. I painted it a girl with a mask and I put my initials on it: MPS. After we got home I put the pumpkin outside the door on the front porch. Haden got a small pumpkin and he didn't paint it. We put it on the kitchen table, and I like it!"

Mason: "There was a train ride and after we waited for the next turn, me and Haden got to ride the train. Haden didn't cry as much...he liked it! When we got done, Haden wanted to go again and we could let him but we didn't cause we went to ride the hay ride next."
Mason: "After we did the duck water pump, we went to the place for some snacks. We got some fritos, roasted corn, and a sausage wrap. Then we went to the pumpkin patch and played in the pile of pumpkins. At the end we got to play with the animals and then went home."

First Pumpkin Patch Visit

We got to visit our first pumpkin patch of the season this past weekend. I say that because I have a feeling we might go to one or two more before the season is over. It's just so much fun to be outside in the Fall !

We rode on a hay ride out to where the pumpkins are grown and each of the boys got to pick a pumpkin from the pile of small ones. It was a chilly day!

The boys had a good time playing outside despite the cold and each picked out cute pumpkins that we brought home. Mason is supposed to take a pumpkin to school on Monday for pumpkin week that he has decorated or carved. He is excited to carve a pumpkin again this year! (I'll let you know how that goes. )

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Favorite Things Friday--Monday Edition!

We had a visitor come to our house this weekend and I wanted to wait to post some pictures from our special time. Mason got to bring home the class friend: Curious George!
He joined us for some fun times on our busy weekend. We got to go to our first Hendrickson High school football game...He joined Mason for his soccer game (Mason got the MVP award for that game--Go Mason!)...He got to tag along for "Home Depot Day"...and helped us with our garage sale Saturday. It was a quick visit, but lots of fun!
