Buh-Ah-Tuh

At our house we have entered the new world of reading! Mason is really enjoying reading and spelling new words. We are sounding out letters ALL the time!!

This past weekend we went out to see the Buh-Ah-Tuh-S (bats). It was lots of fun! If you get some time in the Austin area, it's worth hanging out at sundown to see the bats fly out. In the pics, the streams of black in the sky are the bats. Enjoy...

We got to the bridge in Round Rock a little too early and were sitting around awhile. We decided to take a quick family pic to document the night. While we were waiting we also read Mason's magazine Your Big Backyard. Did you know that a bat's wings are covered with a thin layer of skin? Bats can't fly as fast as birds, but they can use their wings to turn quickly.

Happy 6 months to Haden!

Haden will be six months old on Friday! We can't believe how quickly six months has passed. Aww, I love them so much! What a joy these two boys are in our lives!

Happy October!!

We visited the pumpkin patch at Mason's school just before Halloween. It was a beautiful day and we got to spend some time walking through the pumpkins to pick just the right one. It took a little while, but Mason settled on the "best" one!

For halloween we had a little block party with games and candy for the kids. It made for a very "happy" halloween. Mason was Batman, Daddy was a Texas Tech fan, Haden was a pumpkin, and Mommy was a pumpkin farmer for halloween this year. It was a really fun night!

A Few of our Favorite Things...

These boys sure love their Daddy! And aren't they the most handsome boys?!? Mason and Haden are both very happy when Daddy gets home from work everyday. They have lots of fun playing and learning new things together. I think spending time with his boys is one of Daddy's favorite things too!

Haden's new favorite thing is his jumper! He can jump forever and has so much fun jumping and spinning and catching anyone's eye who is watching. He might be a little show-off!

One of Mommy's favorite things is running outside with Haden. It got cool here for a couple of days last week and Haden got bundled up for the ride. He was too cute!
