The BIG day!

Yesterday afternoon was Mason's "meet the teacher" time at his new elementary school! It's such a fun time in his life. He had fun in his new classroom: meeting his teacher, finding his seat, putting his school supplies away, and checking out all the neat things in the room. Mason's teacher's name is Miss Loggins. She was very kind and asked if she could have a hug right off! She likes Curious George a lot and I think Mason will get to bring George home over a weekend some time.

Of course, Mason and Carter are having lots of fun on this new adventure together. They won't be in the same class, but will probably be walking to and from school together every day! They are such good buddies!

This is such a big milestone in Mason's life and our lives too. Life is so much about trusting God...sending my son to kindergarten is a big step of trust for me! I am thankful that God loves Mason even more than I do! (And thankfully, He is allowed to follow Mason throughout his day!)

May God bless you, Mason, as you learn and grow and become the amazing person He has planned for you to be! We love you!

Favorite Things Friday--Firemen

This summer, Mason has been picking activities from what we call a "fun cup." We've done fun things like the Children's Museum, painting pottery, swimming, the movies, and dress up day. Mason drew a costume day from his "fun cup" and enjoyed pulling all his Halloween costumes down to wear. While he was dressing up, he suckered Haden into playing too. They are pretty cute firemen!
