Bicycle...bicycle (sing with me) I want to ride my bicycle...I want to ride my bike...

Mason got his new "big bike!" (And a red and black Texas Tech Red Raider one at that!) We have achieved a new milestone on the "big kid" journey. For the past month or so Mason has been riding his tricycle around the block and has had lots of fun. The other day, however, I looked back at him on his tricycle and thought, "Man, he looks like a five year old riding a tricycle! We should get him a bike." So we did!

Grandparents Galore!

We had lots of fun on Memorial weekend visiting with grandparents galore! We packed in visits with each of Mason's grandparents and he has been talking about it non-stop since! It was good quality family time for us too!



We first celebrated Mamaw and Papaw's 50th Wedding Anniversary in Lubbock. They were married on June 3, 1967...way to go!! These are some pictures from the party:

After our visit to Lubbock, we traveled on northward to Amarillo to visit Grandpa Mason. Mason loved the "tractors." He asked Grandpa at every turn if he could ride the tractors. By the end of our visit he had learned the actual names of each of the vehicles he got to ride. He had so much fun! Donald and I spent our visit playing second fiddle!

Our Grandparents Galore trip wouldn't be complete without fun time with Grandpa Smith. Grandpa actually came to visit at our house for a few days. Mason had lots of fun playing upstairs with Grandpa and outside...if he could convince Grandpa to endure the heat! We also spent one afternoon at the pool. Saturday morning we went to the Home Depot Kids' Workshop. Grandpa, Mason and Daddy worked on building a bi-plane.

Thank you to our Grandparents for a great time! Mason loves each of you so very much! Thank you for loving him and impacting his life in such significant ways. We talk about each of you all the time!! We'll look forward to our next adventures with you soon!
